Lifeloc FC-5 Breathalyzer

Purpose of use
This model is used for preliminary breath alcohol screening without using a mouthpiece.
General characteristics
- Automatic breath alcohol measurement system.
- The device is lightweight and portable.
- Supports both testing modes:
- Manual Test: Breathe through the air intake
- Auto Test: Breathe directly into the sample collection area
- Backlit graphic LCD display for easy use in dark environments
- Provides status information on the screen
- 3 alcohol level display modes:
- POS / NEG Mode:
- POS = Alcohol (greater than 0 mg%)
- NEG = No Alcohol
- Levels Mode:
- Zero = Less than 10 mg%
- Low = 11–20 mg%
- High = Greater than 21 mg%
- Open Container Mode: Detects alcohol levels from open containers
- The device has a built-in sample collection port for easy cleaning
- Requires four AA (alkaline) batteries for approximately 6,000 uses
Technical specifications
- The sensor is an electrochemical fuel cell.
- It detects only alcohol and is unaffected by other substances such as ketones, acetone, perfumes, food odors, methane, or hydrocarbons.
- It provides rapid results within 10 seconds or less.
- It is tested to international durability standards:
- IEC 68-2-32 (Drop Test)
- IEC 68-2-27 (Shock Test)
- IEC 68-2-29 (Shock Test)
